What are clients saying about our Dudley conveyancing team?

One recent buyer summed up the experience of moving home with us in a five-star review:

"I cannot recommend Ansons Law enough. From the very beginning of the process through to completion and exchange of contracts, they were professional, thorough, and completely reassuring."

Another client, who bought a property through the Dudley office, singled out Jonathan for making the process feel manageable:

"Amazing service! I had a really positive experience with the team who handled the conveyancing for the purchase of my property. Jonathan was extremely helpful throughout the process and made everything feel straightforward and stress-free."

A third review, from a buyer who completed in the summer, opened simply:

"Excellent service from Hamida and Jonathan at Ansons Law Dudley."

Why does communication matter so much when buying a house?

Most people buy or sell a home only a handful of times in their lives. The process involves searches, enquiries, mortgage offers and a chain of other buyers and sellers, much of which happens out of sight. When clients do not hear from their conveyancer, they assume something has gone wrong.

Our team keeps clients updated at each step, and it is one of the things reviewers mention most. The buyer quoted above went on:

"Communication was excellent throughout. I was always kept up to date and any questions I had were answered promptly and clearly."

We ask every client at the outset to tell us their target dates. That allows us to say early on what is realistic, and to explain plainly where the timetable depends on other people in the chain.

How does the team handle a difficult sale?

Not every transaction is straightforward. Title problems, missing paperwork, leasehold management packs and slow parties further up the chain can all cause delay. The test of a conveyancing team is how it deals with those problems when they arise.

Jonathan has particular experience of probate sales, and of sales by Attorneys and Deputies acting for someone who can no longer manage their own affairs. These transactions carry extra steps, such as obtaining the grant of probate or the authority to sell, and need careful handling with families who are often dealing with a bereavement at the same time.

A client who sold a bungalow through the Dudley office wrote that Jonathan and the team handled the sale professionally from start to finish, and recommended them to others.

Who is in the Dudley conveyancing team?

Jonathan Taylor leads residential conveyancing at Dudley. He worked as an estate agent before qualifying, and self-funded his legal training to make the move into law. That background means he understands the transaction from the agent's side of the desk as well as the lawyer's, and knows what buyers, sellers and agents need to hear to keep a sale moving.

Hamida Begum is a Residential Conveyancing Executive in the team. She speaks English, Bengali, Urdu and Hindi, which helps many of our clients in the Black Country deal with the process in the language they are most comfortable with.

The team is part of the Ansons Law office at Castle Court, Castlegate Way, which opened in October 2025 with four people and now has sixteen. The office also offers commercial property, corporate, dispute resolution, wills and probate, and family law advice, so clients whose move is linked to a divorce, an estate or a business can deal with one firm.

What does our Dudley team do?

The team acts on:

  1. Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
  2. Remortgages and transfers of equity.
  3. Lease extensions and purchases of the freehold.
  4. Probate sales, including for executors, Attorneys and Deputies.
  5. Auction purchases, including checking the legal pack before you bid.
  6. Moves with fixed completion deadlines.

We act for first-time buyers, families, downsizers and buy-to-let investors. Our clients come from Dudley, Netherton, Sedgley, Brierley Hill, Kingswinford, Halesowen and Stourbridge, and we act on property anywhere in England and Wales. Ansons Law is accredited under the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

What should you do if you are about to buy or sell?

If you are planning a move, a few early steps will save time later:

  1. Instruct a conveyancer as soon as your offer is accepted, or before you put your property on the market if you are selling.
  2. Ask for a fixed quote that sets out the legal fee and the third-party costs, such as searches and the Land Registry fee.
  3. Tell your conveyancer your target dates and any deadlines, such as the end of a tenancy or a mortgage offer expiry date.
  4. Gather your identity documents and, if selling, any guarantees, planning documents and building regulations certificates for work done to the property.
