A manufacturing solicitor advises industrial businesses on the legal issues specific to their sector. This includes commercial contracts, supply chain agreements, intellectual property protection, mergers and acquisitions, employment, industrial property, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution. The work covers both day-to-day commercial needs and one-off events like buying or selling a business.
As early as possible. We often see manufacturers come to us after problems have escalated, when prevention would have been simpler and cheaper. Common moments to involve a solicitor early include drafting standard terms and conditions, negotiating a new supplier or customer agreement, protecting a new design or process, planning an acquisition or succession, and responding to a regulator enquiry.
Yes. The majority of our manufacturing clients are SME and family-owned businesses across the Midlands. We provide practical, proportionate advice that fits the scale and resources of mid-sized industrial businesses, without the cost of a large city firm.
A specialist manufacturing solicitor brings sector knowledge: an understanding of supply chains, technical product issues, industrial property, manufacturing-specific employment matters, and the regulatory environment that shapes industry. That means quicker, more confident advice on the issues that matter most to manufacturers.
Ansons has offices in Cannock, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield and Dudley. We act for manufacturing clients across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, and nationally where the work warrants it.
