Martin is a solicitor, having qualified in 2004, Managing Director of the firm, and works with the dispute resolution and employment departments at Ansons. He acts for many owner managed businesses and provides clients with practical solutions to the problems they face in a wide range of areas, including:

• contractual disputes;
• construction disputes;
• debt collection;
• insolvency;
• intellectual property;
• professional negligence;
• property disputes;
• public/employer liability;

Experience

Recent experience includes:

• Successfully preventing two employees from setting up a competing business in breach of their employment contracts;
• Winning a landmark case in the High Court for a builder who had a heart attack but was sued by his clients for breach of contract;
• Settling a claim on favourable terms for a director being pursued by the liquidator of his former company; and
• Advising on an intellectual property disputes relating to design rights.

Martin regularly speaks at the Ansons HR seminars and for a variety of clubs and associations.

Personal

Martin is a director of Rugeley Open Spaces Association Charity; Company Secretary of Rugeley Rugby Club Ltd; and a graduate of the RFU’s Leadership Academy.

Martin regularly turns out for Rugeley Rugby Club’s second XV, preferring to avoid making tackles to ensure he is fit enough to enjoy a post-match pint.
