Standing ovation for The Magic Flute at the 2015 Lichfield Festival, sponsored by Ansons

7th July 2015

The Lichfield Festival is in full swing this week and Ansons Solicitors are proud to be supporting the cultural extravaganza once again.  The annual multi-arts festival started on 3 July and will be jam packed with events until Sunday 12 July 2015.

Ansons sponsored one of the first events to be staged, The Magic Flute, at Lichfield Cathedral on Friday night. The enchanting production of Mozart’s opera was told through a modern mix of comedy, pantomime, philosophy and religion. The one off show was performed by a stellar cast fresh from the world’s renowned opera houses and narrated by acclaimed author Janice Galloway.

Ansons are thrilled that the production was a roaring success, and was met with a standing ovation from the audience. Ansons have always been keen supporters of local events and are thrilled to be involved with the Lichfield festival once again.  The festival programme provides a unique opportunity for the local community to see renowned artists and performers from around the world.

Ansons look forward to seeing what else the festival has to offer, which will culminate on Sunday with talks from the author, actor and birdwatcher Bill Oddie, as well as the poet Wendy Cope, ending with a vintage tea dance at Drayton Manor Hotel for the whole family to enjoy.
