Practice areas

Emma is a Director in the Corporate team at Ansons having joined the firm in 2013. Emma advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, in particular M&A matters including business and company acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs and corporate re-organisations.

Shortlisted for the Emerging Dealmaker of the Year award at the Insider Media 2024 Midlands Rainmakers awards, Emma is extremely motivated, professional and committed to delivering outstanding results for her clients. Emma’s clients and peers frequently praise the service levels she provides, often going above and beyond to achieve her client’s goals.

Emma has particular experience in the healthcare sector, regularly advising in relation to pharmacies and care homes.

Recent examples of how Emma has helped clients include:

  • Advising on August Equity’s exit of its investment in Pet Cremation Services to VetPartners;
  • Advising Facklemann Brands UK on its acquisition of Apollo Housewares Limited
  • Advising a pharmacy group operator in respect of a four site share purchase from a national operator;
  • Advising shareholders in respect of the sale of the entire issued share capital of an owner managed business in the insurance sector for a purchase price in excess of £6 million;
  • Advising a retiring pharmacist on the sale of the entire issued share capital of his pharmacy business for a purchase price in excess of £2 million;
  • Advising the Seller in respect of the sale of Lifecycle Management Group Limited to Kent Council backed buyer, Commercial Services Group.
  • Working with Neil Jones advising a French domiciled company on the share acquisition of a UK company for a purchase price of circa £21 million.
Personal

When Emma is not cheering on Aston Villa, she is chasing after her little boy who is determined to keep her on her toes both on and off the pitch.
