Simon James, head of the commercial property team at Ansons Solicitors has been enrolled as a member of The Worshipful Company of Smiths in Lichfield.

The livery companies of the City of London are historic associations which date back to at least 1177.

Dating back many years, the livery companies of the City of London have been most charitable, donating to the elderly – in sickness and old age. They also now donate both home and abroad to the likes of developing countries, people with disabilities, museums, libraries, housing, the arts, young people, and medical research.

The award system recognises various degrees of ability and quality of workmanship achievable by training and experience, the company awards the workmanship with a range of certificates, diplomas and medals. Simon James received a certificate upon being enrolled.
