Ansons Solicitors, a leading law firm in Staffordshire and the West Midlands, is delighted to announce and celebrate the achievements of three newly qualified Solicitors.

Amy Newport and Joshua Stokes have officially completed their training and qualified as Solicitors in our Commercial Property department.

Amy joined Ansons as a Trainee Solicitor in December 2022, bringing with her the expertise gained from completing a master’s degree at the University of Law and valuable experience as a Paralegal at a Walsall-based firm.

She has refined her expertise within the Commercial Property team and now brings her knowledge and dedication to her new role.

Reflecting on her achievement, Amy said, “I’m incredibly grateful to the team at Ansons for their guidance and support. I’m excited to keep contributing to the Commercial Property department, helping our clients and further developing my knowledge.”

Joshua joined Ansons as a Paralegal in January 2023 before beginning his training contract in July 2023 and qualifying as a Solicitor in January 2025.

He has gained extensive experience from the Commercial Property team and looks forward to continuing to advise clients across a wide variety of Commercial Property matters.

“I’m excited to continue advancing my career with Ansons. The support I’ve received throughout my training has been exceptional, and I look forward to continuing to deliver excellent results for our clients,” said Joshua.

In addition to the achievements within our Commercial Property team, we are also proud to announce that Mikey Baryana has gained his Solicitor qualification in our Wills, Probate & Trusts department.

Having joined Ansons in 2024, Mikey specialises in the administration of estates and is known for his client-focused approach and professional manner.

Mikey commented, “I’m honoured to qualify as a Solicitor and be part of Ansons’ Wills Probate and Trusts team. I’m committed to simplifying what can often be a complex process, providing clients with the clarity and assurance they need during challenging and emotional times.”

The firm hosted an internal presentation on Friday 10 January, to mark these important milestones, with Matthew, Trainee Principal at Ansons Solicitors, leading the celebrations.

Matthew expressed his pride in the firm’s newest Solicitors, saying, “It’s a privilege to see Amy, Joshua, and Mikey reach this significant career milestone. Their hard work, determination, and passion for their chosen fields have been evident throughout their training.

“They are an asset to Ansons, and we look forward to seeing them continue their incredible work with the firm.”
