On 21 May Ansons Solicitors staff got together for a battle of the sexes with a charity netball match at Staffordshire University Academy. The firm regularly organises fundraising events for various charities and this event saw a fantastic £145 raised through entry fees and sweepstakes.
Emma Wells, assistant solicitor in the commercial property team, organised the netball match, which was a great success. Both Ansons staff and volunteers were enthusiastic to take part, including Ansons partners Jas Singh and Hilary D’Cruz, who were on hand to umpire.
The evening saw a thrilling match and a close score to the very end. The first goal was scored in a mere 3 minutes by the boys with both sides fighting hard to the end. But it was the boys who won through, stealing the win with a score of 8-6.
The game was enjoyed by all and Ansons wish to thank everyone for their participation and support. The money raised goes to the worthy charity Crohn’s and Colitis UK, who provide information and support, fund research, and fight for change for those with inflammatory bowel disease and their families.
