People from across Staffordshire brought family heirlooms to the Erasmus Darwin Centre in Lichfield on 7th May to benefit from the professional opinion of Charles Hanson of BBC2’s Antiques Road Trip.
The Erasmus Darwin House kindly waived their entrance fee for the day, and guests were invited to make a donation to St Giles Hospice. In total over £75.00 was raised on behalf of the hospice in donations on the day.
Charles Hanson valued a wide range of antiques, from cherished die cast toys to some very rare, and valuable, Minton game pie dishes.
Ansons solicitors Marie Tisdale and Shelly Wainwright from the Ansons wills and probate team who organised the event, were delighted that so many local people supported the event. Sadly, they were not so delighted with the news that Marie’s vase was definitely not Ming dynasty!
