Birmingham based automotive wholesale and retail specialist Mr Tyre Limited, has acquired North Staffordshire’s largest independent tyre dealer, NSTB Group Ltd, in a deal managed by corporate law specialists at Ansons solicitors.

Mr Tyre, was established in 1971 at Sutton Coldfield, in the West Midlands. Operating with retail and wholesale division, the company has effected impressive and hugely successful expansion plans over the past decades, and now operates from 100,000 sq. ft. head office and distribution warehouse at Hockley, Birmingham.

Mr Tyre now has 33 fitting centres across the central England region with the addition of NSTB’s three branches in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Tunstall and Longton, branded as North Staffs Tyre and Battery Autocentres. These sites offer strong regional coverage across the North Staffordshire area.

In addition to tyres, NSTB offers a wide range of vehicle repair and maintenance options including batteries, exhaust systems, brakes, suspension, steering, car servicing and MOT testing.

“We have been working closely with the Mr Tyre team as they seek to add to their retail outlets. Multi-site business acquisitions are becoming something of a niche specialism for Ansons in a number of industry sectors. The key for us was to mobilise a team that could achieve the demanding timescale,” says Ansons corporate lawyer Jas Singh, who managed the acquisition process.
