The British Medical Association advises that all GP practices enter into formal practice management agreements for a number of reasons, including avoiding what is otherwise an unstable business relationship. Partnerships without the benefit of a formal partnership agreement are classed as “partnerships at will” and as such potentially face dissolution if one partner decides to leave or retire.
G.P. Practices should ensure that their practice management agreements have been reviewed and where necessary updated.
