Ansons Solicitors expands Family Law team with new arrivals

9th December 2021

To meet growing demand, we are pleased to announce Ansons Solicitors has recently recruited new talent to the firm, with Sonali Obhrai appointed as its new Head of Family Law and Raman Dhillon joining the same team as an Associate Solicitor.

Attracting individuals of this calibre demonstrates the reputation of Ansons as a whole and the Family Law team in particular, as the firm looks to build on the strength of its service offering throughout the obvious challenges presented during 2020/21.

Sonali is an accomplished family solicitor with over 15 years experience in a wide range of family law matters.  Sonali undertakes all areas of matrimonial work including divorce and associated financial matters, separation, pre and post nuptial agreements and issues concerning arrangements for children.  Sonali has expertise in dealing with High Net Worth cases involving family businesses and pension assets.  She also undertakes Private Law Children work involving complex matters involving Fact Finding hearings, the requirement of Psychological Expert assistance and the appointment of Guardians.

Raman practices exclusively in Family Law including disputes involving children and all types of protective injunctions.  She has extensive knowledge of working with those who have been subjected to sexual, physical and emotional abuse as well as neglect.  Her specialist knowledge has attracted media attention and she has provided commentary in the press on both national and regional televised news and radio.

Ansons Managing Director Andrew Johnson commented: “Our reputation ensures we can attract talented, experienced individuals like Sonali and Raman, who are great additions to our growing Family Law team.

“It is clear when our firm appoints legal professionals of this calibre we are making the right decisions about the future direction of our business, whilst reflecting the growth opportunities within the market. We expect Sonali to help mentor our team members, who will undoubtedly benefit from her expertise and experience in all aspects of Family Law.

“Raman is another young lawyer with a bright future.  She has already packed a lot into her legal career to date and we look forward to seeing her help our Family Law team build on their excellent work helping people across the Midlands resolve the issues affecting their families.”

Sonali Obhrai said of her appointment: “Ansons is building an enviable reputation for service.  I am delighted to have joined, and look forward to contributing to that reputation.

“The firm is attracting new clients who recognise the advantages of working with law firms that are focussed more on the relationships we build over time and our commitment to client care, based on a sympathetic and pragmatic approach to tackling the many issues of family breakdown.”
