Ansons Solicitors were once again proud sponsors of the annual Lichfield 10k and family fun run and we are delighted with the accolade that it was ‘the best yet’!
This year a record number of 1,114 runners enjoyed fabulous weather, as they took part in the race around the city starting from King Edward’s School towards Whittington village and back again. The race organisers, Lichfield Running Club and their sponsors were congratulated for doing such a good job by many of the participants. The winner of the 10k road race Matt Adcock, from Hermitage Harriers, said “It was a good race, well organised and with great support.”
Staff from Ansons Solicitors and their families got stuck in too, with many helping to marshal the event as well taking part in the road race and running with their children in the 2k Family Fun Run.
Ansons fundraising contribution will go towards Saxon Hill School in Lichfield, with whom we have a special link. Anson’s partner Marie Tisdale explains:
“Saxon Hill School remains a special place for me because my late brother, Anthony, who suffered from Duchene Muscular Dystrophy, attended the school and was very happy there.”
Last year, we were delighted to present Saxon Hill School with a cheque for £1,000 towards the purchase of specific adapted equipment that will ensure that pupils can access the workplace without barriers.
